Hospice Fredericton services are free.
Our
volunteers provide non-medical support programs and services to
people and families facing care-giving challenges when coping
with terminal illness, death and bereavement.
There are three components to the Hospice Fredericton Program:
In Home Support,
Grief Support and
Care to the Caregiver
Grief Support Group
We
now offer a six week grief support group. This group is open to anyone
who has lost a loved one, is non-denominational and is free of charge.
If interested, please call our office for further details and to register.
Hospice Fredericton volunteers and staff work with our medical partners: Extra-Mural,
Family Physicians, the Palliative Care Unit and other Hospital and
Community Healthcare Teams – to help people to live as well as possible with a disease that has no cure, and to support families to cope with loss.
